Toronto Trip Day 3 (March 24/06)
On Friday we all piled into Aaron’s car (aka The S-mobile) and got on the busy 401 to Niagara Falls. The city of Niagara Falls wasn’t exactly what I had envisioned, but the falls themselves lived up to their descriptions and more. The city itself is the typical tourist trap town, but the falls were amazing.
We went down and took the typical in front of the falls pictures even though it was super cold and misty. The sides of the river had huge chunks of ice. The Canadian side of the falls was way better and larger than the American side. On the hill above the falls there are these crazy huge hotels and of course the Casino, which was our next stop.
We went and played a little bit of craps, which I actually won some money at and then proceeded to the casino buffet for a late supper. After a crazy amount of very good food we then went to register to play at one of the poker tables. After waiting awhile we finally all got to play. I won a few hands, after which it all went downhill and I bailed out before I lost all my money. Aaron busted shortly after me and kept me company watching all the crazy characters in the casino.
Kyla and Jake both won a fair bit of money. Very late we all piled into the S-mobile once again for the drive home. It was a great day!
